Tents: Due to the size of the event, families usually need to share cabins. You are welcome to bring your own tent for your family, if you prefer not to share a cabin with another family or if you just prefer tent life over cabin life. Please let us know if you will be tenting so we don't assign you a cabin for your family.

Cabins: Cabins are pre-assigned. We take several things into consideration when assigning cabins, but generally cabins are assigned by the age of the children in your family. The older the children in your family, the further away from the lodge your cabin will be. We also try to consider the sexes of adults and children, but accommodations are co-ed.

  • Is there a family attending with whom you would like to share a cabin?
  • Is there a particular cabin or area of camp that you prefer?
  • Are there mobility considerations?

No promises, but we will try to meet individual requests.

Workshop

Names of Workshop Leader(s):

We ask that each family sponsor an activity, workshop, game, or discussion, for children, adults, or both. This makes for an interesting and varied experience at the Chautauqua. Hikes, crafts, games, discussions on home-schooling, science experiments, sand play, drama workshops, dancing, storytelling and sing-a-longs are all possibilities. Nighttime activities are also nice. Be creative. Do what you enjoy.

Workshops may be limited in number of participants. Please indicate how many people you can accommodate. Sometimes people offer the event twice if numbers are limited. If you will need to charge a fee for supplies, please let us know what it will be for and how much. The Chautauqua may prefer to help out with the cost rather than have a fee charged.

You can schedule a time and create a description and sign-up sheet for your activity when you arrive on site, or you can bring one with you.
